Fall River Police are investigating multiple stabbings that took place Saturday afternoon.

According to Detective Moses Pereira, at approximately 12:25 p.m. the Fall River Police Department responded to the area of 1401 Pleasant Street in response to a report of a large fight with weapons.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a fight had broken out between two rival motorcycle clubs in the area of Pleasant Street and Cash Street involving approximately 50 individuals. Seven adult males were injured as a result of the melee. Reactive policing as usual. One of the motorcycle clubs actually puts orange cones way into the street at aprox the corner of Pleasant and Cash and partially blocks traffic and the police sit at the pizza place and do nothing.

Ditto all of the dirtbikes which congregate at a barbershop on Pleasant Street before taking off on races through Lafayette Park even going the wrong way into traffic and nothing is done. Once one of the bikes gets hit we will read about what a good kid the biker was and how he was getting his life together.

Combine this with the hookers and it’s a terrible scene. The cops just sit at Pizza Time and in the old CHF talking to each other.

This used to be a decent working class neighborhood.

Your right about the Flint. A decent working neighborhood can only survive with a strong manufacturing base. Stop buying Chinese made junk from Wal-Mart. The current location of the WalSnot used to be a FritoLay factory, my mother inlaw worked there. Fall River should ban Chinese goods from being sold within it’s borders.

How times have changed. I remember when cops use to hang out at donut shops.

It’s not just the Flint. The City of Fall River has gone to hell in a hand basket. Fall River loves it’s housing money. All the scum of the earth that once lived in Roxbury, Dorchester, Somerville and elsewhere now live in the RIV.
