Fall River Police electrician, Animal Control, bystanders, combine to rescue young seagull
Thanks to some teamwork, an animal was rescued in Fall River on Saturday.
According to police, a young seagull got his leg stuck in the lighting at the Fall River Shopping Center on Mariano Bishop Boulevard.
The injured bird could be seen hanging upside down from the light unable to free itself.
Thanks to the Fall River Police electrician Alex Vorn, and FRPD Animal Control Officers, the seagull was freed and transported safely to the Humane Society to care for its injured leg.
FRPD also thanked the concerned citizens who alerted them to the gull.

I live in New Bedford and a few years back after a windy rain storm during COVID I tried to save a Gull that appeared to most likely need a Wing taped and rest for a couple of weeks, and I was told by ACO after asking him if he would be killing the Injured Gull? That there are plenty of Seagulls and no one will Miss one!! I now seek alternative help for Injured Wild Life Sea Life ect
