Fall River Police Department saw marked increase in total calls last month

According to Fall River Police, the department saw an increase in calls for service in July.

FRPD saw a total of 4,303 calls in July (average 139 a day) compared to 4,052 calls in June (average 135 per day).

Police had a marked decrease in mental health calls and motor vehicle accidents, but an increase in medical calls and arrests.

Domestic calls remained high but level in July.
