Fall River Police Department recruiting new officers
The Fall River Police Department is looking for a few good men and women.
The FRPD is currently recruiting candidates which begins with a written exam.
The next exam date is June 12. The application deadline is April 20.
After certification of the results, an eligible list is formed of candidates who have passed the test and are ranked in order from highest to lowest. Fall River has a residency preference and will select candidates who live in Fall River before exploring other candidates.
To become a Fall River Police Officer, the first step is taking and passing the Civil Service Exam. The next steps are:

Complete Full-Time MPTC Academy

Upon graduation, the candidate will undergo twelve weeks of Field Training and then be assigned to full duty. They will be subject to a one year probationary period and residency requirement for one year. Per Fall River City Ordinance 50-101 A
