Fall River Police Department makes arrest after string of motor vehicle break-ins

The Fall River Police Department’s Neighborhood Enforcement and Engagement Team (NEET) has been actively patrolling the Flint Neighborhood in response to a recent string of motor vehicle break-ins.
According to Lieutenant Matthew Mendes, on Monday, at approximately 11:45 p.m., NEET supervisor Sergeant John Ruggiero was on patrol in the Bowler, Doyle, and Crane Street area when an individual was observed exhibiting suspicious behavior. A short time later, Sgt. Ruggiero located the male suspect sitting inside a motor vehicle that did not belong to him. Mendes stated that the Fall River Police Department remains committed to proactive policing efforts to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of our neighborhoods.
“We encourage residents to remain vigilant, secure their vehicles, and report any suspicious activity immediately to our agency. “
