Fall River Police Department looking to make waterfront more enjoyable, safer, and hassle-free

The Fall River Police Department is aiming to make the waterfront better than ever with help from the Harbormaster.
The Harbormaster operates under the jurisdiction of the Fall River Police Department, and they have made several administrative changes in the way that the Harbormaster Office conducts business so that they can provide the best possible service to the boating community.
Among the changes, the public will notice a new and easier method to apply for and receive permits, as well as be placed on the mooring wait list.
In addition, there will be many changes that take place throughout the boating season. These changes are all intended to make the boater’s experience in Fall River more enjoyable, safer, and hassle-free.
The department has also launched a new Harbormaster website https://www.frharbormaster.org/home
You’ll find everything you need to know, including:
New Parking Payment System: Gone are the days of stuffing cash into envelopes. Starting January 1st, 2025, all ramp fees must be paid via the new on-site electronic kiosks, accepting both cash and card.

Local boating rules, regulations, and resources
How to contact them (besides yelling from your boat)
Whether you’re launching for a day of fishing or just looking to avoid a ticket, the information is all in one place, the new website.
