Fall River Police Department investigating evening shooting after evidence located of several shots fired

The Fall River Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on Wednesday evening.

According to scanner transmissions, at approximately 8:30 p.m., multiple calls came in for 5-6 shots fired in the County/Thomas/Albion Street area.

Acting Chief J.T. Hoar confirmed a shots fired call at County and Albion. Further investigation confirmed evidence of shots fired with officers locating several shell casings.

No victim or injuries were reported.

The Major Crimes Division is investigating.
