The Fall River Police Department is hiring. Here are the details.
FRPD has announced a new alternative hiring pathway and the creation of a local register for eligible police officer candidates. Candidates do not need to have taken the Civil Service Exam to apply, they can apply directly with FRPD and go through the selection process. Candidates will be hired through an alternative pathway and still be provided the protections and benefits of civil service.

They are accepting new candidates and lateral transfers (both Civil Service and Non-Civil Service) and will honor credible service time from other law enforcement agencies. Out-of-state officers are also encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements:
21+ years old at time of hiring
High School Diploma, GED, or HiSET
Active Driver’s License
Eligible for LTC (License to Carry)
No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors in the past 5 years
Ability to pass a background investigation, medical & psychological evaluation
