Fall River Police Department, Father Rob, holding annual Guns For Groceries event in 2024
The Fall River Police Department and Father Rob are holding the annual Guns For Groceries event to help decrease gun injury and gun violence.
The program will offer grocery gift cards for guns – no questions asked.
Anyone returning a shotgun or long gun will receive a $75 gift card. Handguns returned will earn a $100 gift card. Several community partners are supporting the event.
Domino’s Pizza certificates for all items turned in including bb and pellet guns, knives, and ammo.
Free gun locks will also be available.
The event is done, in part, to remember Rev. Dr. Robert Lawrence who was an important part of the gun buyback program until his passing on October 2nd in 2018.
Father Rob Nemkovich will be working with and supporting the FRPD once again in this program.
Guns for Groceries will take place Saturday, November 23rd at Blessed Trinity Church, 1340 Plymouth Ave. Fall River from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
