Fall River Police Department charge city man with allegedly setting multiple fires
A Fall River man is accused of setting several fires in the city.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, on Wednesday, James Benevides III, 45, of Fall River was arrested and charged with two counts of arson and three counts of burning land.
Pereira stated that these incidents occurred between October 24, 2023, and November 17, 2023.
Detectives assigned to the Major Crimes Division worked in collaboration with the Fall River Fire Department, and Massachusetts State Police Fire investigators.
