Fall River Police Department arrests 4 after man severely assaulted, zip tied

Fall River Police arrested multiple people after a recent assault.

According to police, on January 14, 2025, Patrol Bureau responded to Rocliffe Street for a report of a male on the ground bleeding. Officer Anyeric Castillo was the initial investigating officer and determined that the victim had been severely assaulted and was found with zip ties around his wrists. Detective Frank Reis of the Major Case Division was assigned to the case and worked with Officer Castillo continued to assist with the case. Detective Reis was able to close the case and determine several individuals were involved in the severe beating of the victim to include being robbed.

Detective Reis was able to obtain warrants for 20-year-old Angela Garcia, 36-year-old Maria Reyna Rodezno Marin, 22-year-old Ailton Lopes, and 43-year-old Johnathan Winston.

On Friday, January 24, 2025, Major Case Division was able to take Garcia, Reyna Rodezno Marin and Lopes into custody.

On Saturday, January 25, 2025, The Neighborhood Engagement and Enforcement Team (NEET) were able to locate Winston in Rockland, MA with the assistance of the Rockland Ma Police Department.

All individuals are due to be arraigned in Fall River District Court Monday morning for the following charges:

– FIREARM-ARMED KIDNAPPING

– A&B WITH DANGEROUS WEAPON (2 Counts)

– CONSPIRACY

– FIREARM-ARMED & MASKED ROBBERY

– TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE

– ARMED ASSAULT TO MURDER

– HOME INVASION

FRPD recognized the Major Case Division, Detective Reis and Officer Castillo for their efforts to bring a quick conclusion to this case.
