Fall River Police Department announces uptick in car break-ins
The Fall River Police Department has announced that they have seen a recent uptick in Breaking and Entering into unlocked motor vehicles throughout the city.
Officers and detectives are actively investigating these incidents and working diligently to identify and apprehend those responsible.
They ask all residents to please lock your vehicles and remove any valuables. Don’t give criminals an easy opportunity, a locked car is a harder target.
If you see something suspicious, report it immediately.
Residents can do the following:
•Lock your doors
•Close your windows and sunroofs
•Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle or if so, don’t leave them in plain sight
•Invest in an alarm system
•Avoid leaving spare keys/fobs in your vehicle
