Fall River Police capture suspect accused of armed robbery at city gas station
Fall River Police have captured a robbery suspect.
According to Lieutenant Matthew Mendes, the above male was wanted for an armed robbery from an incident which occurred at 2322 South Main Street (Sunoco Gas) on August 4th, at just before 7:45 p.m.
On November 8th, an arrest warrant was issued for 45-year-old David Botelho.
On December 2nd, Botelho was arrested by members of the Fall River Police Neighborhood Engagement & Enforcement Team. He was arraigned on charges of Armed & Masked Armed Robbery, and Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. He pled not guilty and was held pending a dangerousness hearing.
On December 9th, the hearing was held and Botelho was granted bail. The Commonwealth’s motion for PreTrial detention was denied.
Botelho has a probable cause hearing scheduled for February.
