Fall River Police arrest person of interest in multiple recent shootings on drug and gun charges after crashing into police cruisers

Fall River Police CST unit has made an arrest on drug and gun charges.

According to police, detectives received intelligence that a 17-year-old juvenile, a person of interest in multiple recent shootings, was making threats while driving through the Flint neighborhood.

Detectives observed the juvenile entering a store on County Street. While observing the juvenile, detectives identified signs and characteristics that were consistent with carrying an unholstered firearm. When Detectives attempted to apprehend the juvenile, they had returned to the driver’s seat of their vehicle. When given the order to step out of the vehicle by detectives, the juvenile quickly reversed their vehicle into two police cruisers in an attempt to flee. Their vehicle was disabled, and they were removed from the vehicle. While being removed from their vehicle, a loaded firearm fell from their person and landed on the ground.

They were placed under arrest and the following items were collected: a loaded S&W MP9 pistol with an extended magazine was recovered, along with 26 rounds of 9mm ammo, crack cocaine, fentanyl, and $6,671 in cash (seized for forfeiture).

They now face numerous charges including Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Unlicensed Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession with Intent to Distribute (Class A & B Drugs), Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (2 counts), Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (2 counts), Vandalism, and multiple motor vehicle offenses.
