Fall River Police arrest man wanted in Rhode Island after foot pursuit through several yards
The Fall River Police Department arrested a man wanted out of state on Wednesday morning.
According to police, members of the Patrol Bureau responded to the 200 block of Tecumseh Street in an attempt to locate a fugitive from justice wanted by authorities in the State of Rhode Island for his alleged involvement in the use of a molotov cocktail.
Upon officers’ arrival, the suspect fled from the front door of the residence. Officers immediately initiated a foot pursuit through neighboring yards. The suspect was later located hiding inside a shed in the backyard of a residence in the 300 block of Snell Street.
The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Armando Gonzalez. Gonzalez was taken into custody without further incident.
He will face extradition back to Rhode Island and has also been charged in the Commonwealth with Fugitive from Justice and Resisting Arrest.
