Fall River Police arrest man on gun charge following seizure of firearm
Fall River Police have arrested a man on a gun charge.
According to the Fall River Police Department, on Thursday, Detectives assigned to the Vice, Gang, and Intelligence Unit worked in collaboration with the Major Crimes Division, and the Massachusetts State Police on a surveillance operation in the Flint Neighborhood.
During this operation, Vice Detectives received information that 36-year-old Robert Demenezes of Cranston, RI was in possession of a firearm. Detectives were aware that Demenezes, who is known to frequent the Flint, does not possess a license to carry a firearm in Massachusetts.
Demenezes was located in the area of Mason Street and County Street. A Beretta 22 short model was located on his person.
Demenezes was arrested and charged with carrying a firearm without a license to carry.
