Fall River Police arrest man on drug and firearm charges, after two guns, machine gun conversion devices seized

Fall River Police have arrested a city man on drug and gun charges.

According to police, on Friday, detectives assigned to the Community Action and Suppression Team (C.A.S.T.) executed a search warrant at a residence on Boutwell Street. During a search of 35-year-old Kieson Cuffee’s bedroom, detectives located and recovered two illegal firearms. The firearms were identified as:

– A Polymer 80 9mm, “ghost gun”, equipped with a 31-round magazine containing 24 rounds of live ammunition as well as a machine gun conversion device, commonly referred to as a “switch.”

– A Taurus G3C 9mm pistol equipped with a 12-round magazine containing nine rounds of live ammunition, with an additional round chambered.

Detectives also recovered two additional machine gun conversion devices from the same bedroom. A further investigation revealed drug-packaging materials, including plastic sandwich bags and a digital scale containing suspected cocaine/crack cocaine residue. Based on the investigation and evidence recovered during the execution of the search warrant, Cuffee was placed under arrest and charged with the following offenses:

– Possession of a Loaded Machine Gun

– Possession of a Machine Gun (two counts)

– Possession of a Firearm w/o a FID, Subsequent Offense (two counts)

– Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm (two counts)

– Possession of Ammunition w/o FID Card Subsequent Offense

– Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm Near Minor (two counts)

– Firearm Violation with Three Prior Violent/Drug Crimes

– Drug Possess Class C

Cuffee is expected to be arraigned Monday in Fall River District Court
