Fall River Police arrest city man on handful of drug and firearm charges, issued bail

A Fall River man is facing several gun and drug charges after an arrest on Wednesday.

According to Lieutenant Matthew Mendes, the Community Action & Suppression Team (CAST) executed a search warrant in the 200 block of South Main Street. The target of the investigation was 42-year-old Joey Pacheco.

As a result of the warrant the following items were seized:

• HW .357 magnum revolver

• Various ammunition in different calibers

• 2.2g cocaine

• 28 Suboxone strips

• Drug paraphernalia

Pacheco was arrested and charged with:

• Possession Non-Large Capacity Firearm without FID

• Possession Stolen Firearm

• Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony

• Possession of Ammunition without FID

• Possession Class B With Intent to Distribute

• Possession Class B

At Thursday’s arraignment in Fall River District Court, Pacheco pled not guilty to the charges and was ordered $500 cash bail.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for February 3rd.
