Fall River Police arrest 6 after drug investigation; one held on bail, another failed to appear

Fall River Police placed a half dozen people in custody, after multiple investigations.

According to police, late Monday night, C.A.S.T. Detectives, working alongside the Emergency Services Unit, executed two simultaneous search warrants for residences on John Street and Union Street.

At the Union Street location, detectives detained several individuals and recovered the following:

• Approximately 13.12 grams of crack cocaine

• 3.5 oxycodone pills

• 26 Suboxone strips

• A digital scale

• BB gun

38-year-old Shana Taylor was placed under arrest for the controlled substances. 42-year-old Ann Marie Sullivan and 26-year-old Krystal Brownell were also arrested on outstanding warrants.

After clearing that scene, detectives moved to the John Street address, less than a mile away, where they located additional illegal substances:

• Approximately 51 blue glassine baggies of suspected fentanyl

• An additional 38 baggies of suspected fentanyl

• 2.42 grams of crack cocaine

• A small amount of crack cocaine

• A Glock-style BB gun

48-year-old Jessica Harper was summonsed for fentanyl and cocaine. 43-year-old Plino Lopez and 45-year-old James Mercer were arrested on active warrants.

Shana Taylor was charged with:

Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance

Possession of a Class B Substance (two counts)

According to court records, Taylor failed to appear for her arraignment on Tuesday, and a warrant has been issued.

Lopez pled not guilty at Tuesday’s arraignment and is being held on $5,000 bond/$500 cash bail.

The department credited high level coordination between various units.
