Fall River Police arrest 5 in less than 24 hours after neighborhood complaints

Fall River Police placed several people into custody over the weekend.

According to police, on Sunday, less than 24 hours after receiving neighborhood complaints concerning activity at 556 High Street, members of the Fall River Police Department’s Community Action and Suppression Team conducted surveillance and enforcement efforts that resulted in the arrest of five individuals with active warrants.

During the operation, detectives arrested:

• Ashley Holodinski, 30

• Lijah Fortes, 29

• Roberto Pagan, 47

• David Fonseca, 51

• Tanisha Monteiro, 33

Pagan initially provided detectives with a false identity before he was properly identified and found to have active warrants. Fonseca, who was wanted on warrants related to cocaine trafficking, was located inside the residence and arrested without incident.

The department recognized Officer Daniel Reis Jr. and Officer Nicholas Kennedy. While C.A.S.T. was conducting surveillance, both patrol officers, who were aware of the neighborhood complaints but not the specific C.A.S.T. operation underway were independently and proactively monitoring the same address. They later assisted detectives with the arrests.

Neighbors came outside during the operation and expressed their appreciation for the visible police presence and enforcement efforts.

The department noted that they will continue monitoring identified nuisance properties and using a coordinated, multifaceted approach to improve quality of life throughout our neighborhoods.
