A Fall River pitcher reached rarefied air on Monday.

According to David Roache, head coach of the Varsity Baseball team for the Atlantis Charter Tritons, ACS faced Rising Tide Charter on the road in their second game of the year, however it wasn’t your typical game.

Starting pitcher Adriel Carrasco threw a NO HITTER!

His stat line: 5 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 11 Ks, 77 pitches, 48 strikes.

Other big contributors:

– SS Brady Cambra went 3-4 with a run and a RBI.

– 3B Collyn Viveiros went 2-3 with a run, a RBI, and a HBP.

– LF Cameren Ferreira went 2-4 with a run and 2 RBIs.

– CF Joey Morais went 2-3 with a run, a walk, and a RBI.

All nine batters scored at least once, and the team as a whole went 13-28 at the plate with 7 walks.

The final score was ACS 11, Rising Tide 0

Team Records: ACS: 1-1 (1-1); RT: 0-1 (0-1)

This is the second no hitter in school history, a feat only previously accomplished by past graduate Jared Brown.

Their next game is the home opener, on Wednesday at Atlantis Charter School at 4:00 p.m. against Brooke HS.
