A Fall River native and star athlete has announced the passing of her dad.

Tecia (Torres) Pennington announced Saturday that her father, Orlando Torres, died Friday.

According to the fundraiser, family are currently finalizing the details for his services and celebration of life, but they are planning to hold them this upcoming Saturday, February 8, in Fall River.
