Fall River multi-vehicle crash with injuries knocks out power in the north end, driver cited
A multi-vehicle crash knocked out power late Tuesday morning to hundreds of customers in Fall River including St. Michael’s School.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, the operator of a Mazda was traveling the wrong way on Lindsey Street. As they approached the intersection of Lindsey Street and Brightman Street their vehicle struck a Ford Transit Van which was traveling East on Brightman Street. The Ford came to rest after striking a telephone pole. The pole was split in half.
The operator of the Ford was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The operator of the Mazda was cited for operating in violation of the one-way restriction.
