Fall River motorized bicycle rider seriously injured in crash in front of fire station
A male motorized bicycle rider in Fall River appeared to be seriously injured from a crash.
According to Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Officers assigned to the Uniform Division responded to the intersection of Globe St. and Fenner St. for a report of an injured bicyclist requiring medical attention.
It appears as though the bicyclist was operating a motorized mountain bike and somehow lost control causing him to fall off of the bicycle.
The operator of the bicycle was transported to Saint Anne’s Hospital for medical evaluation. Communications on the scanner insinuated that injuries to the bicyclist may be serious, however, limited details available due to the ongoing investigation suggested that his injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
Detectives assigned to the Major Crimes Division as well as the Accident Reconstruction Unit responded to assist in the investigation. Pereira stated that the investigation remains active.
