Fall River Mayor Coogan, Mill Brook Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, to celebrate birthday of 102-year-old veteran with key to the city; here is his secret to long life
Mill Brook Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center will host a birthday celebration to recognize a long-term care resident who recently turned 102 years old.
Born and raised in Fall River, Francis “Frank” Howard, is a World War II Navy veteran. After returning home from the service, he worked for many years as a factory worker. He and his late wife shared 72 years of marriage while raising their daughter.
Frank is known for his warm humor and outlook on life. He attributes his long life to enjoying a daily glass of ginger whiskey and always keeping a good laugh nearby.
His birthday will be celebrated Friday afternoon with Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan, who will present Frank with a certificate and a key to the city, as well as with family, friends and Mill Brook Rehabilitation & Healthcare staff.
