Fall River mayor, City Council, School Committee sworn in; new Council President, Vice-President selected

On Monday afternoon, the City of Fall River held their Inauguration of Municipal Officers at B.M.C. Durfee High School’s Nagle Auditorium, 460 Elsbree Street, Fall River.

Members elect were sworn in to the Office of Mayor, City Council, and School Committee. The City Council also selected president and vice president for the beginning 2-year term.

Paul Coogan was sworn into a new term.

In addition to the race for mayor, 9 city councilors were sworn in.

The City Council voted Cliff Ponte unanimously as president, a position he has previously held.

The City Council voted Michelle Dionne unanimously as vice president, a position she has also previously held.
