Fall River man with prior charges, arrested on multiple gun and drug offenses
A Fall River man was arrested Friday on multiple firearm and drug charges.
According to Detective John Robinson, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Justin D. Michaud, 41, of School Street, was taken into custody while in possession of 2.9 grams of crack cocaine and a .40 caliber firearm. Detectives from the Vice intelligence and Gang unit executed a search warrant at 458 County Street. The firearm was located in a backpack which Michaud claimed ownership of.
Lead Detective Joshua Robillard, assisted by Detectives Paul McGuire, Gary Barboza, Kwin Silva, Matthew Mendes, Eric Copsetta, Gregory Homen, Guy Furtado, Sgt. William Falandys, and Lt. Gregory Wiley, was able to secure the search warrant for both the 2nd and 3rd floor of the 3-story apartment building.
Michaud was charged with Possession To Distribute Class B, Possession of a Firearm Without an FID Card, Firearm Violation with 2 Prior Violent/Drug Crimes, Possession of a Firearm in a Felony, and Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card.
