Fall River man who died while on the job was trying to make a better life for his children family says

A Fall River man who died on Tuesday while he was at work is being remembered.
According to the Weymouth Fire Department Union, at approximately 12:00 p.m. Weymouth Fire responded to a structural collapse with entrapment on a new single-family home on Vine Street.
Crews worked to free the worker – his condition was critical at the time and he was transported by South Shore EMS.
Multiple reports state that the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office announced that the trapped man, 29-year-old Mario Diaz Obando of Fall River, has died.
4 other workers had minor injuries.
According to a family member of Diaz Obando, “he was a young man full of many dreams and a worker who left his home (of Ecuador) to give a better future to his children.”
Diaz Obando leaves behind 2 children and his family is looking to bring his body back to his loved ones in Ecuador.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has been created.
The incident is still under investigation.
