Fall River man wanted for First-Degree Sexual Assault, Felony Assault, facing list of new charges after police pursuit

A wanted local man is facing a list of charges after a weekend police pursuit.

According to Rhode Island State Police, at 12:17 a.m. on Sunday, Troopers arrested Clifford J. Ledrow, age 42, of Fall River for Eluding Law Enforcement in High-Speed Pursuit – First Offense (Two Counts), Reckless Driving and Other Offenses Against Public Safety – First Offense, Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty, Vandalism – Malicious Damage to Property, Duty to Stop for Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle, and Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Providence Police Department on the charges of First-Degree Sexual Assault and Felony Assault.

The arrest was the result of an attempted motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick, followed by a motor vehicle pursuit, which resulted in Troopers apprehending Ledrow in the Town of West Warwick.

Ledrow was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and turned over to the Providence Police Department. According to court records, he is currently being held without bail.
