Fall River man set to stand trial accused of murdering 22-year-old former friend
A Fall River man accused of murdering another man is set to go to trial.
Rayquan Robinson, now 27, was charged with murder, armed assault to murder, and carrying a firearm without a license concerning the death of 22-year-old Jake Williams in May of 2020.
Robinson has been held without bail.
Fall River Police responded to 911 calls regarding a shooting in the area of Mott Street and Warren Street. When first responders arrived on scene, they located the victim and rushed him to St. Anne’s Hospital, where Williams was pronounced deceased.
Robinson and Williams were friends at one point according to friends, but that had changed. Robinson allegedly opened fire on Williams while Williams was driving his vehicle.
Multiple bullet holes could be seen in the car’s windshield after the shooting.
The trial is expected to conclude on May 13th.
