Fall River man pleads not guilty on firearm charges in Superior Court after city shooting
A Fall River man faced a judge on Tuesday after a previous arrest concerning a city shooting.
According to Fall River Police, on July 22nd, at approximately 10:12 p.m., the Patrol Bureau officers responded to reports of a firearm discharge near the 800 block of King Philip Street. Major Case Detectives immediately arrived on scene with Patrol and started their investigation. Through a thorough investigation and following evidence, the lead detective on the case, Det. Matthew Gauvin, and the rest of the Major Case Detectives were able to link 36-year-old Darien Bradley to the incident.
A shirtless male, matching Bradley’s description, was observed exiting a dark colored SUV. At 10:12 p.m., a single gunshot was heard and observed on the surveillance footage, and a 9mm shell casing was recovered at King Philip and Tripp Streets.
Through additional evidence and surveillance footage, Darien Bradley was identified as the suspect responsible for the shooting.
Darien Bradley was arrested in connection with this shooting. Based on the evidence, he was arrested for Carrying a Firearm Without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, and Discharging a Firearm Within 500 Feet of a Residential Building.
According to court records, at his initial arraignment in Fall River District Court, Bradley pled not guilty and was held without bail pending the results of a dangerousness hearing.
Bradley was indicted in Fall River Superior Court on November 19th on charges of Carrying a Firearm Without a License-2nd Offense and Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License.
On Tuesday, he was arraigned on those charges, pled not guilty, and had bail set at $50,000 surety/$5,000 cash after being deemed dangerousness.
Bradley’s next court appearance is a pretrial conference currently scheduled for January 27th.
