A Fall River man was in Superior Court on Tuesday after being indicted on multiple charges.

According to police, in February, members of the Patrol Bureau and the Community Action & Suppression Team (CAST) executed a search warrant in the 600 block of Plymouth Avenue. This warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation initiated by the Patrol Bureau following a call for service.

During the search, officers seized 309 grams of crack cocaine, assorted prescriptions pills, suboxone, and a Tisas 1911 .45 ACP firearm with a loaded magazine.

As a result, 46-year-old Leonard Baskin was arrested and charged with multiple firearms and controlled substance offenses. Assault and Battery charges causing serious bodily injury were added to the indictment.

According to court records, at Tuesday’s arraignment, Baskin pled not guilty and was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for next Tuesday.
