Fall River man facing several charges after being injured in shooting
A Fall River man is facing several charges after injuries he sustained from a recent shooting.
Court records show that a criminal complaint was filed by Central Falls Police on Wednesday against 23-year-old Carlos Martinez of Fall River on charges of Felony Assault and/or Battery, Carry Pistol or Revolver Without License or Permit, First Degree Robbery, Felony Assault and/or Battery Firing in a Compact Area, and Disorderly Conduct. The offenses allegedly occurred on Monday.
According to WJAR 10, Martinez was also shot Monday on Garfield Street in Central Falls and will be transported to the ACI once released from Rhode Island Hospital.
An arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday, but was continued to Thursday. It is unclear if Martinez will be able to attend.
No other details were released.
