Fall River man facing multiple charges after being stopped on the highway by State Police

State Police arrested a Fall River man on the highway this weekend.

According to Rhode Island State Police, on Saturday at just after 2:00 a.m., Troopers arrested 28-year-old Escarlin Herrera for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – 1st Offense, and Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test – 1st Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 146 in the Town of North Providence.

Herrera was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released into custody of a responsible adult.
