Fall River man charged with multiple robberies
Last night, Monday, December 4th, 2017 at approximately 9:45 pm members of the Fall River Police Departments Major Crimes Division led by lead investigator Detective Dwaine Cabeceiras with help from the public
Last night, Monday, December 4th, at approximately 9:45 p.m., members of the Fall River Police Departments Major Crimes Division, led by lead investigator Detective Dwaine Cabeceiras with help from the public, was able to identify and apprehend a Fall River man suspected in an Unarmed Robbery in this city.
The suspect, identified as Derek Luz, age 26, was apprehended at his residence on South Main Street Fall River and charged with Unarmed Robbery. As the investigation continues Derek Luz has been identified and will be charged with an Armed Robbery and an additional Unarmed Robbery.
Det. Cabeceiras was assisted by Detectives J. McDonald, J. Autote, Sgt. T. Mauretti, and Lt. P. Gauvin with assistance from the Special Operation Divisions Sgt. J. Smith, officers E. Copsetta, K. Bshara, F. Andrade, P. McGuire, B. Stukus, Z. Dupere, M. Hadaya, and M. Pereria.
Det. Cabeceiras and the Fall River Police Department wish to thank the public for their assistance in quickly identifying and locating Derek Luz.
