Fall River man arrested on two charges of arson
According to Norton Police, on 8/16/2018, Norton Police Detectives and Troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS) arrested Brian E. Chase, age 46, in Fall River.
Chase was indicted by a Bristol County Grand Jury recently on Arson related charges stemming for two fires on March 26, 2017. The fires were on Mansfield Ave. in the Town of Norton.
One of the fires in question involved firefighters having to rescue an elderly woman in her home.
Both fires were deemed suspicious and were across the street from each other.
Chase was transported to the Dartmouth State Police Barracks and will be held pending arraignment in Bristol County Superior Court.
