Fall River man arrested on shoplifting, drug, and firearm charges in Dartmouth
DARTMOUTH, MA – A Fall River man is facing several charges after a weekend arrest.
According to Dartmouth Police, on Saturday, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Dartmouth
Police responded to a call regarding shoplifting at Kohl’s, 81 Faunce Corner Road.
Carlos Pina Silva, 38, of Fall River left Kohl’s in a black sedan. Soon after, officers and
detectives located the car and conducted a traffic stop.
After a brief investigation, officers located the stolen merchandise and a small amount of suspected crack cocaine. Officers also located a loaded .22 caliber firearm with a defaced serial number in the trunk of the car.
Silvia was then placed into police custody and is being charged with shoplifting by asportation, receiving a firearm with a defaced number, improper storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of ammunition without an FID card and possession of a class B drug.
