Fall River man arrested on gun and marijuana charges by new task force Thursday
A Fall River man was arrested Thursday on drug and firearm charges.
According to Fall River Police, members of a newly created Gun Violence Task Force executed a search warrant at 555 Whipple Street, Apt 1 based on an investigation lead by Detective Greg Homen.
The investigation lead to the seizure of a 9mm Ruger with several rounds of ammunition, approximately 4 1/2 ounces of marijuana, and $2,690 in US currency.
Michael Giasson, 19, of the same address, was taken into custody and charged with illegal possession of a firearm and possession of a Class D Substance with Intent to Distribute.
