Fall River man arrested on drug trafficking charges after crack cocaine, fentanyl, cash seized
A local man is facing multiple drug trafficking charges after a recent arrest.
According to police, on Saturday, officers assigned to the Boston Drug Control Unit of District A-1 (Downtown) arrested Devyn Barbosa, 30, of Fall River, on drug trafficking offenses.
Officers were on patrol inside the Boston Common when they observed an individual counting and sorting an unknown item into his hand. The officers believed that the individual was concealing illegal drugs inside of a container.
The officers advised the suspect of the reason for the stop, and recovered a vape container from his person. A search incident to arrest further revealed fifty-four plastic bags of crack cocaine, twenty-five plastic bags of Fentanyl, and one plastic bag of crystal methamphetamine.
The drugs were determined to be eighteen grams of crack cocaine, and ten grams of fentanyl. A total of $175 in cash was also recovered from the suspect’s fanny pack.
Barbosa was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for the following offenses:
