Fall River man arrested in weekend stabbing that seriously injured victim
Fall River Police have arrested a city man in an apparent weekend stabbing.
At approximately 9:40 p.m. Friday, a call came into dispatch for a male victim that had been stabbed in the 200 block of Laurel Street. It was reported that the suspect had ran away after the stabbing took place.
A sergeant was requested to the scene.
FRPD secured locations at both Orswell and Laurel Streets after the stabbing.
According to Lieutenant Jay Huard, 38-year-old Pedro Medeiros was located and placed under arrest after the incident and charged with assault and battery with serious bodily injury and assault and battery.
The victim was expedited to the hospital.
According to Huard, the victim was in stable condition as of this morning.
