Fall River man accused of stealing car, eluding police while driving on wrong side of the road
A Fall River man was arrested on Monday after police found him driving erratically.
According to “Your Arlington”, Arlington, MA police officers were dispatched to Broadway at approximately 2:15 p.m. to investigate a reported stolen white Toyota Yaris with Texas dealer plates.
An officer later found the vehicle in front of him going southbound on Mystic at Russell.
Police tried to stop the driver, however, the Yaris continued by turning left onto Chestnut. The driver was maneuvering the Yaris around other vehicles and entering the wrong side of the road to do so.
Officers eventually blocked in 30-year-old Jorge A. Palacios and placed him under arrest without incident.
While Palacios was in custody, officer responded to a vehicle break-in where items were stolen, some of which were found in Palacios’ possession.
Palacios was charged with motor vehicle larceny, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, operating with a suspended license, and breaking-and-entering in the daytime.
