Fall River man accused of robbing store that he managed in Somerset

A local man is being accused of robbing the store that he was the manager of.
According to police, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Somerset Police patrol units responded to the Dollar Tree, located at 985 County Street, for a report of a silent burglar alarm activation.
Units responded to discover the business secure with no signs of forced entry and nothing to arouse suspicion. Officers cleared from the establishment without further incident.
On the following morning of December 5, 2024, Somerset Police Dispatch received a call from a Dollar Tree supervisor reporting that the business had been broken into at some point during the overnight hours. The supervisor indicated that the previous night’s deposit bag containing $2,686.50 had been stolen. The crime scene was processed by the Somerset Police Detective Division.
At the beginning of the investigation, it was clear to investigators that the person(s) involved had inside knowledge of the inner workings of this specific Dollar Tree location. The suspect(s) had keys to enter the building which is why the Somerset patrol officers had not witnessed any forced entry the night before. Moreover, the suspect(s) had knowledge of the keypad codes to enter restricted areas of the building. This information would only have been known by management personnel.
After conducting a thorough investigation into the theft, Detective James Cardella applied for an arrest warrant at the Fall River District Court. The subject of that arrest warrant was an individual named Isaiah Toure, age 27, of Fall River. Toure was the store manager of the Somerset Dollar Tree business at the time of the crime. Toure was arrested and taken into custody by Somerset Police detectives on Monday, February 10th at the Swansea Dollar Tree location.
The Swansea Police Department assisted the Somerset detectives in taking Toure into custody.
Toure is being charged with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime to Commit a Felony, Larceny over $1200, and two counts of conspiracy.
At his arraignment Monday, Toure pled not guilty and was released on personal recognizance. His next court date is a pretrial hearing on March 24th.
