Fall River man accused of brass knuckles and bat attack believing man had sex with his daughter
A Fall River man is facing charges after an assault on Friday night allegedly involving brass knuckles and a baseball bat.
According to the Morning Sentinel, 30-year-old Michael Cote admitted to a Somerset County Sheriff’s deputy that he attacked the victim in a home in Athens, Maine.
Cote believed the 23-year-old victim had sex with his 17-year-old daughter.
Cote is currently being held on $10,000 cash bail at the Somerset County Jail on elevated aggravated assault and burglary charges.
The victim was transported by medical helicopter to a Bangor hospital where he is expected to survive.
