Fall River juvenile facing discipline after student reported to be in possession of a weapon

A Fall River student is facing discipline after an incident at a school on Monday.

According to Fall River School Committee Member Collin Dias, the school resource officer was called after a student at Samuel Watson Elementary School was reported to be in possession of a weapon.

The student’s bag was searched, and the parents were notified.

The student will be disciplined in accordance with the Code of Conduct. 

The weapon was not a gun.

The name of the juvenile was not released.
