Fall River ice cream shop responds after building put up for sale
It appears to be the end for a Fall River ice cream shop.
Nonno’s Ice Cream Shoppe opened on the corner of Cherry and Seabury Streets on the side of Ruggles Park in May of 2022.
The location of a former long-time convenience store served premium, fresh, on-premise ice cream in 30 flavors in addition to other treats such as sundaes and milkshakes.
270 Seabury Street was put on the market Wednesday for $275,000.
Fall River Reporter contacted Nonno’s to find out the fate of the ice cream shop and if they planned on relocating.
“Not enough business at this location so we are closing. Unsure about the future right now.”
They also revealed that the shop will not be opening on Seabury Street this year despite the building not yet being sold.
It is sad to see a Fall River business close that brought joy to residents. What would you like to see take its spot?
