A report of an early morning armed robbery in Fall River has resulted in an arrest.

According to Deputy Chief Barden Castro, on Tuesday, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Plymouth Ave and Rodman St regarding a 46-year-old male who was reporting that he had been robbed.

The victim, who is homeless, reported that he was in his tent off Rodman St prior to 4:00 a.m., while he was in his tent he was approached by a female, Jenny-Lee McLean, a 39-year-old homeless person, who is known to him, along with two unknown males.  One male was described as 6’3”, 220lbs, with face tattoos, and a light complexion.  The other male who was armed with a knife was described as 5’2” with a skinny build and either white or Hispanic.  According to the victim, the male who was armed with the knife demanded $300 from the victim which was as debt allegedly owed by the female (Jenny) to the two males.

The males then told the victim that they would take his scooter.  After handing over the keys and watching all the parties walk away the victim fled to the Shell station.

Officers were able to locate the involved female suspect along with two men a short way down the street.  It was determined later that while the female was involved, the two males in her company had not been involved in the robbery.

Jenny-Lee McLean denied being involved in the incident.  She was placed under arrest and transported to the police station to be processed on an Armed Robbery charge.
