Fall River Harbormaster, Fire Department responding to reported boat crash

Authorities have been responding to a boat crash this morning.

According to scanner transmissions, at approximately 7:45 a.m., a roofer working on the Westall/Stone School spotted what he believed to be a boat crash.

After the Fall River Fire Department on Marine 1 and the Harbormaster searched several minutes for the boater, the boat was located in an area near Point Gloria near the pier.

The boat reportedly has extensive damage and the operator has significant injuries.

The injured victim is in the process of being brought to shore.
