Meet Fall River Forever Paws Pet of the Week Pierre!

Pierre is a real-life goblin. He’s like a tiny torpedo come to life. Pierre doesn’t just come in like a wrecking ball; he IS the wrecking ball. Luckily, he’s only 24lbs. Unluckily, he’s a French bulldog so he’s built like a lumberjack-slash-linebacker with a head harder than steel so he can definitely take you out at the kneecaps if he parkours hard enough.

Pierre has one speed and it’s NYOOOOM! Despite being four years old, his energy levels are ALL puppy. He’s like a Chain Chomp on amphetamines minus the actual chomping; he just makes the Demogorgon noises typical of his breed. He’s definitely an extrovert and has zero issues making friends with people immediately upon meeting them. No boundaries, no personal space, he can and will jump all over your legs to say hello. His leash manners are okay – he gets distracted easily and gets overexcited and will start gnawing at the leash, but he listens very well to corrections. If you’re consistent with him, he’ll pick up on it easily enough.

He does not seem like he’s been socialized with other dogs because he looks at them and has NO IDEA what to do. He just stares at them with the most puzzled expression on his face and then looks at his handler like, “what do I do with this?” A patient, tolerant dog would be best. He does not like cats (and seems to be very offended by their mere existence) so, no cats. Kids 10+ just because Forever Paws doesn’t have a history of him being around younger kids.

He LOVES his toys. He’s obsessed. His play is INTENSE. He’ll share, though, so no worries about toy aggression.
