Fall River Forever Paws Pet of the Week needs an owner to show him he is worth it
Could you be the owner that shows the Fall River Forever Paws Pet of the Week that he is worth it?
Tormund Giantsbane, so aptly named because he is HUGE, is an Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. He is a beautiful boy that has become incredibly special to everyone at the shelter. Found wandering around a cemetery alone, it understandably took us some time to gain his trust but, once we did, we wouldn’t change it for anything.
He’s a young guy, about a year old or so, and incredibly intelligent. He’s been working with a trainer while at Forever Paws, working on his trust issues and his standoffishness with strangers. This training MUST be continued in his new home. It does not have to be with the trainer Forever Paws is using, but it must be continued and consistent.
Tormund needs to be the only animal in the home. He’s had a rough go of it, and FP doesn’t want him overwhelmed. He needs to be somebody’s one and only and get all of the love and devotion that he so rightfully deserves.
He loves to be called “sir” in a silly, happy voice. He loves plush toys. He loves balls. He loves to run around in the yard and give himself the zoomies.
He does not love cats.
This young boy turns into a grumpy old man with new people so it will take MULTIPLE meets for this guy to open up to you because once he does, he’s an entirely different dog. He needs someone ready and willing to put the work and the effort in and to show him that he’s worth it. Because he is. He’s worth it and he’s worth so much more.
Stipulations are as follows:
No cats and no other dogs
No children
Applicant MUST own their own home
Applicant must have breed/similar breed experience
Applicant must be willing to have multiple meets before going home with this boy
Applicant must be willing to continue work with a dog trainer upon going home with him
