Fall River Forever Paws Peanut loves people and is a teeny tiny lady with a reduced adoption fee
Meet Fall River Forever Paws Peanut!
Are you in the market for a teeny tiny senior lady? Peanut is twelve years old, less than 10lbs, and ready to be your best friend!
This little lady is excellent on a leash, mainly because she’s only 8.5lbs and can’t pull too much even if she tries. She doesn’t zigzag or dart underfoot and just kind of prances alongside you like a little show pony. Don’t let her age fool you because she definitely still enjoys her walks and her outside time…and if she gets tired, she’s little enough that you can just scoop her up and carry her the rest of the way anyway!
She’s not very interested in toys or treats and much prefers people over pretty much anything else. She’s definitely an attention-seeker and loves being pet and pampered. She does just fine with other dogs and with cats. Forever Paws would prefer older kids just because she’s a tiny fragile bean. She hasn’t shown to be much of a barker, but that could always change once she’s comfortable in her new home.
Despite her age, she’s in very good health aside from some mild dental tartar and a collapsing trachea. As of now, there is nothing to be done for her collapsing trachea aside from keeping her stress and activity levels low-moderate, avoiding irritants like smoke/heavy fragrances, and walking her on a harness instead of a leash. She may require medication or further care in regard to her trachea down the line but for now, she just needs to be monitored.
A reduced adoption fee will be discussed upon application approval. They don’t want people applying just because of the reduced adoption fee.
